OWWA is a membership institution which programs, projects targeted for the welfare and interests of their people. Membership is acquired compulsory or under your own accord effective after payment of membership contribution.
Every member of this agency enjoys its benefits plan which is accorded in their membership contract.

Bridging Program: Im currently working in a cruise ship international, i am a graduate of BS mechanical Engineering batch 2006,
i do have also a licensed.. Now my question is can i avail this OWWA program cuz im planning to procced to BS Marine Engg.?
Can you help me this situation? or send me email because im currently on board the ship.

ofw ako from dubai. member din ng owwa. na stroke ako last feb 16 2012 at na confine sa rashid hospital ng 1 week. pumayag nman employer ko na makauwi pero sa akin ang kalahati ng airfare. wla rin bayad sa sick leave. dumating ako march 05,2012 at nag inquire agad sa sss, philhealth at owwa. sa tatlong ahensya, sa owwa ako nkatanggap ng negatibong sagot. di daw covered ng benefis ang kaso ko which is disability thru natural cause. disability thru accident lng daw kino cover nila. tama po ba yun? nasan po ung “overseas workers welfare” na sinasabi?

hello po isa din po aq ofw repatriation,,naka attended n po ako ng seminar for livelihood program noong may 30 2012 sa calamba city of laguna kya lng bkit po ganun ang sv s amin 2months process but till now wala p dn linaw kc tumawag po aq for fallow up s office ang sv is hindi pa marereales ang cheke pra s amin n nag seminar kc dw matagal p dw ang process nun bkit po ganun!tatawagan n lng dw nila ako ..sana po maayos nyo po yan kc po need po talaga nmin ng pangkabuhayan ..salamat po

Ask ko lang po sana kung meron health benefit/s for ofw beneficiary ang owwa?kasi po yung anak namin naka- confine sa hospital.na- diagnosed sya having nephrotic syndrome.& our son will have long time treatment.baka po may sakaling may maitulong ang OWWA..thank you.

ofw po father k and member dn ng owwa naaksedente po sia nung dec.2011 then nconfine s saudi ng almost 3mos.before po sia nkauwi.for rehabilitation sia ngaun,wla n syang maalala bumalik s pgkabata ang attitude nya.ang problema po inuwi po sya ng pilipinas n hndi dala ang knyang mga personal belongings as in sarili lng nya.nkpgcommunicate kami s company nya through e-mail pero wlang response after maibigay ung benefits nya.oo thankful kami kc may ntanggap n benefits kya lng iba p rn po ung maipdala ung mga personal belongings nya.I hope OWWA can help us.Ang name po ng company nya ay Nesma and partners co.direct po sya.Ask k n rn po kung mkpgclaim po sya ng disability s OWWA?

Magandang araw sa iyo, Jinky. Sorry late na ang reply namin, OFW din kami at may mga priorities na inaasikaso. On the other hand,we are praying sa immediate recovery ng father mo at naasikaso niyo na din ang inyong request sa pamamagitan ng tulong ng OWWA. Maari niyo din e-follow up sa Nesma Company na ipadala ang mga personal belongings ng iyong ama. Maki-usap kayo at maayos naman kausap ang mga Arabo hinggil sa usaping ito. May puso naman sila basta maki-usap ng maayos. Ang aming maipapayo din, makipag-ugnayan kayo sa malapit na owwa office at idulog ninyo ang condition ng iyong ama at ano ang maitutulong nila. Naway sa maliit na paraan nabigyan namin kayo ng payo. God bless sa inyo.

I am an OFW for 16 years and I was an OWWA member for 12 years but then I discontinued for I find that this OWWA has no benefits to me being a single person not unless I’m dead. I felt the pain of paying this OWWA for that long. For those OFW’s, I recommend SSS and Philhealth because the amount we paid is worth paying for. For me, OWWA is not worth to be a mandatory or compulsory to all OFW’s.

Maganda ang programa ng OWWA sa mga OFW natin, alaga sila at inaasikaso. Pero paano naman kung ang isang OFW ang nang-api dito sa Pilipinas. Gaya ng nan-buntis, inanakan ang isang babae, tapos hindi magbibigay ng sustento. May disiplinary action din bang gagawin ang OWWA para mabigay ang karapatan ng bata? Si OFW siya pa nag-register sa munisipyo na isunod sa surname niya sa bata. Sana mabigyan linaw ninyo ang katanongan ko. Salamat po.

I im jacky aquino…isa pong ofw ang kuya q dumating xa nun july 8,2008 gling k.s.a at na detect na may rectal cancer xa at yun ang ikinamatay nia….ask q lng po f may mkkuha kmi na benefits since 4 years ago pa xa na namatay…

ofw po ang father ko,,sence bata pa po ako nag work na siya sa malaysia…pero noong september 2012 he passed away….gusto ko lang po malaman kung may makukuha ba kame galing sa owwa?may naka pagsabi sa amin na kailangan naming inquire sa owwa dahil may benifits kame makukuha…?sana po bigyan u ng tugon ang aming kahilingan…MARRIO ARQUIZA LABASTILLLA ang name ng father ko..kailangan ko po ang sagot nyo….salamat
